GAG Issue #2
2013
Softcover, Perfect Binding
7 x 5 inches, edition of 100, black and white

Girls Against God Issue #2

The second issue of G.A.G. is a pocket sized book of practical magic. Following the success of its first issue, which sold out to an international readership and was proclaimed a “collectors’s item,” the second issue researches and celebrates spiritual healing instincts tied to the earth and women’s bodies.

Through essays, fiction, poetry, interviews and spells this issue of G.A.G. delves into the roots of occult earth wisdom passed through generations of women against all odds.  Texts are accompanied by rich black and white images ranging from pen and ink illustrations to darkly mysterious photography. The issue includes interviews with notable artists Carollee Schneemann and Suzanne Lacy.

G.A.G. Issue #2 contributors include Eve Bradford, Melanie Bonajo, Bianca Casady, Trinie Dalton, Karolina Daria Flora, Mary Hanlon, Julie Higonnet, H, J.ZarA, Emely Neu, Anne Sherwood Pundyk, Kara L. Rooney, Jean Marc Ruellan, Minka Sicklinger, and Macho Mel Shimkovitz.
